A girl of about four years old who was believed to have been stolen and later abandoned has been found in Mbutu, Isiala Ngwa, Abia State.
This is contained in a statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, Maureen Chinaka, in Umuahia, the state capital yesterday.
The statement said the girl was unable to clearly state her name or where she hails from. It urged families or relations whose daughter is missing to contact the Serious Crime Investigation Squad in Aba for details.
In another development, the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has conducted a capacity-building training for 107 personnel of private security outfits in the state.
During the one-day training at Girls’ High School, Aba, the participants were encouraged to contribute their quota to ensure security of lives and property.
Key areas of the training were intelligence gathering and reporting, first aid and emergency response, fire management and guard duties.
