Irish fighter Conor McGregor has revealed the details of a stunning offer he received to participate in the ‘spectacle for the ages’ UFC event planned for the White House.
The show is slated to take place on the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
US President Donald Trump is determined to make the UFC fight happen in 2026. Trump’s friend and UFC chief executive, Dana White, visited the White House earlier this month to pitch the idea of a high-profile fight to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
McGregor has since been tipped to make his comeback at the event.
The Irishman claimed that a staggering $100 million fee and 100 of Trump’s ‘gold card visas’ – an authorisation costing $1 million each that grants lawful permanent residence in the United States – has persuaded him to end his self-imposed retirement.
McGregor wrote on X: “$100 million to fight at the White House along with 100 U.S. ‘Golden Visas’ for myself, family, and friends. I look very much forward to entertaining the fighting world once again. A pleasure I never take for granted!”
