Dumebi Kachikwu, the former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged leaders to fulfil their promises of inclusive national development.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Kachikwu expressed concern for the burden carried by the Nigerian people, who have been let down by failed leadership over the years.
He commended their resilience and patriotism in the face of ongoing struggles and disappointments, noting the hope that they continue to hold on for a better future.
Kachikwu also called on current leaders to fulfil the promises made to the Nigerian people and work towards creating a Nigeria that benefits everyone, regardless of their background. He urged for unity and progress, asking when the desires of the Nigerian people will be met and when the long-awaited change will come.
“As Nigeria celebrates its Independence in the face of economic challenges, the nation and the people need strong and effective leadership to lead Nigeria toward a brighter future. Happy Independence Day to all, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
