Leader of the proscribed Indegeneous People of Biafra (IPOB), Namdi Kanu, on Wednesday, appeared before the Federal High Court, Abuja, where the court will rule on the results of the medical examination carried out on him by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).

Kanu had applied for the court to transter him from DSS custody to the National Hospital, Abuja, for a comprehensive medical attention because he was battling a life-threatening ailment.

The presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, had fixed Wednesday, October 8, for a review of the report from the NMA on the medical status of Kanu.

The court had at the last hearing ordered the NMA to set up an independent panel to investigate the true state of health of Nnamdi Kanu.
