All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified Ojo Kayode and Abimbola Olajumoke-Olawumi from contesting its forthcoming Ekiti state governorship primary election.

On the other hand, the party clarified that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and Atinuke Oluremi-Omolayo will participate in the exercise.

Its deputy national publicity secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, who announced this after the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Thursday, said the action followed consideration of the report of the APC Ekiti State governorship aspirant screening exercise.

He also disclosed that the NWC approved the immediate dissolution of the APC Enugu State Executive Committee following a comprehensive review of the party’s performance in the state.

According to Meseko, a seven-member Caretaker Committee had been constituted to oversee the party’s affairs in the state.
