Kaspaland has thrown its full support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary Blue Economy agenda with the launch of Nigeria’s first-ever Floating Concert Stage — an innovative event celebrating the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

The colourful celebration featured electrifying performances from top artists, dancers, renowned DJs, kayaking competitions, spectacular fireworks displays, and the release of sky lanterns.

According to the organisers, the initiative aims to raise awareness and highlight the immense potential of the Blue Economy, which is championed by the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola. Oyetola continues to drive national efforts in economic growth, job creation, and the sustainable use of Nigeria’s inland waterways.

Speaking at the event, Mr Adeyemi A. Adewunmi, Chairman of Kaspaland, expressed pride in aligning the organisation’s vision with the President’s developmental blueprint.

“This floating concert symbolises innovation and unity through water-based recreation, conservation, and tourism. It demonstrates how entertainment can support national growth and environmental sustainability,” he said.

The launch attracted scores of young Nigerians and foreign nationals, highlighting Abuja as a growing hub for water-based tourism and eco-friendly leisure.

Hajiya Miriam Yakubu Ikunaiye, Chairlady of Kaspaland, emphasised the importance of citizen participation in national progress.

“The best way to celebrate Nigeria is by promoting government policies that can truly transform our lives. The Blue Economy aligns perfectly with Kaspaland’s mission,” she said.

“Nigeria deserves to be celebrated lavishly because this land has nurtured us through thick and thin, blessing us with abundant natural resources unmatched anywhere in the world,” she added.

Beyond the festivities, the newly launched floating stage doubles as a multi-purpose huddle room — an elegant, floating meeting space for public and private bookings. It offers a serene ambience surrounded by nature. It is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a large screen, camera, Wi-Fi, whiteboard, and ambient lighting to support brainstorming sessions, conferences, and hybrid meetings in total privacy.

The floating stage can also be reserved for romantic dinners, engagement proposals, anniversaries, movie sets, and content creation. It comfortably accommodates up to 30 guests. Safety and stability are guaranteed, with life vests, standby divers, and Olympic-certified lifeguards always on duty. The lake is only six feet deep, ensuring added safety for guests.

Nestled inside the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Kaspaland is one of Nigeria’s leading watersports, recreation, and conservation destinations. It offers families, friends, and professionals a unique experience that blends leisure with sustainability.
