Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, has urged all security agencies to maintain the existing peace in the state, saying government will support security personnel.

Governor Buni disclosed this yesterday during a security council meeting at the Government House, Damaturu.

According to him, the review would strengthen Yobe’s security strategies, assess emerging challenges and reinforce ongoing efforts toward maintaining peace and safety across the state.

Represented by his deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, Buni emphasised that the forum provided an opportunity to critically evaluate security developments and take proactive measures to ensure the protection of lives and property.

He appealed to citizens to continue supporting the security agencies with credible information and cooperation, stressing that peace and security are collective responsibilities.

The governor also commended the State Committee on Drug Abuse Control for its achievements in combating drug-related crimes and promoting social stability.
