The Phase II of the Comrade Mustapha Salihu Youth Empowerment Programme has been officially launched in Yola, Adamawa State, marking another milestone in the ongoing efforts to promote youth development and economic empowerment across the state.

The second phase features a special capacity-building workshop designed to equip young people with practical skills for self-reliance and entrepreneurship. The programme is being coordinated by Hon. Bello Baballo, who reaffirmed the initiative’s commitment to creating opportunities for youths to achieve sustainable livelihoods.

The workshop provided participants with hands-on training in various trades and vocational skills. To ensure effective participation, the youths were divided into five groups, each focusing on a trade of their choice. Upon completion of the training, each group will receive a start-up grant from the organizers to support the establishment and growth of their business ventures.

Participants also benefited from lectures on business management, covering essential topics such as enterprise planning, financial literacy, and the fundamentals of developing a viable business plan—key elements for successful entrepreneurship.
