I Spent ₦756m On Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign In 2023 — MC Oluomo

The National Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has claimed thaf he spent ₦756 million of his personal funds to support President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 presidential campaign.

In a viral video circulating on social media, MC Oluomo stated that he did not receive any financial support from Abuja during the campaign period, noting that the expenses covered hotel accommodations, logistics, and welfare for campaigners, including Nollywood actors.

“I spent ₦756 million of my own money during the campaign. Nobody from Abuja gave me anything,” Akinsanya said.

“About 140 hotel rooms were booked at ₦45,000 per night for a period of four months, in addition to other expenses. I paid for hotels and took care of everyone who worked tirelessly for Asiwaju’s victory.”

The influential Lagos transport leader, who played a key role in mobilising grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 general election, reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to President Tinubu.

According to him, plans were already in motion to ensure the president’s re-election in 2027.
