Nwabuife disclosed this during a visit of the top echelon of the club to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II ahead of the fifth edition of the Women for Africa programme scheduled to hold in Ibadan.

She said the Women for Africa programme scheduled to hold in Ibadan, the fifth edition was the international initiative of the club and named ‘Women for Europe’, but, considering the environmental difference between Europe and Africa, the version of Africa was formed.

The first African president of the club, Mrs. Oluyemis Alatise, who spoke on behalf of the club further disclosed that the African version of the programme ironically became a pathfinder for the women for Europe in tackling refugees’ matters in the continent.

She explained that, “We in Africa decided that we should have a programme that would cater for our people at home and not the ones that could not be domesticated.

“What they were talking about as per the issues affecting their people were different from what we had and still have as challenges of our people. We have health issues, widowhood right, inheritance, poverty occasioned by lack of quality education, illiteracy among others which were not as prevalent in their environment as ours.’’

Responding, the monarch charged the club not to relent in its commitment to serving humanity, a virtue described as a way of serving the Almighty God.
