Nigeria’s Super Eagles players have suspended their strike with immediate effect and resumed training for the crucial World Cup qualifying playoff match against Gabon, scheduled for Thursday in Rabat, Morocco.

This information was disclosed by the team’s media unit on Wednesday, stating that all pending issues have now been resolved.

In a show of discontent, the players had boycotted training on Tuesday, demanding payment of their overdue bonuses after a prolonged wait for promised funds.

The squad, led by Coach Eric Chelle, is set to face their Gabonese counterparts on Thursday, with the match kicking off at 5pm.

According to the team’s media unit, the Super Eagles are now preparing to commence their second training session since arriving in Rabat on Monday. They have trained just once since their arrival, featuring 16 players, on Monday, November 10.

The standoff had cast doubts on the team’s readiness to qualify for next year’s FIFA World Cup in North America.
