Wizkid Is Greatest Afrobeats Artist After Fela Kuti, Says Olamide Baddo

Ace Nigerian rapper Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has hailed Grammy-winning singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, as the greatest Afrobeats artist after the late legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Olamide made the declaration while reflecting on his multiple collaborations with Wizkid during a recent press conference in Canada.

“I am blessed to have collaborated with Wizkid on multiple occasions. You know, Wizkid is the greatest Afrobeats artist ever after Fela,” he stated.

Olamide further explained that his collaborations with Wizkid go beyond leverage, emphasising that their partnership is rooted in musical harmony and creativity.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Nigerian superstar Burna Boy had previously declared himself the most incredible African artist after Fela, while Davido has consistently referred to himself as the “King of Afrobeats.”
