The Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has described the death of the Etsu Bassa Nge, Brigadier General Abu Ali Mopa III (Rtd.), as painful and a great loss to the traditional institution.
He said in his condolence message yesterday that the passing of the Etsu Bassa Nge was “sad and painful,” saying that his demise came at a time when his wisdom, experience and fatherly counsel were most needed.
The traditional ruler also described the late traditional ruler as a devoted community leader, a beacon of wisdom and a man of integrity whose life left an indelible mark on his family, society, kogi state and Nigeria as a whole.
“The demise of the Etsu Bassa Nge is great loss, I share in the grief of his family and community during this difficult moment.” the Etsu Nupe said
He added that the late monarch was a pillar of strength and guidance whose legacy of service and dedication would continue to inspire generations to come.
The Etsu Nupe prayed that the Almighty strengthen the family of the late traditional ruler to bear the irreplaceable loss and grant divine mercy to his departed soul.
“May the Almighty grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdausi, comfort the family he left behind and grant the people of the Bassa Nge Kingdom, as well as the government and people of Kogi State, the fortitude to bear this loss,” he added.
