How To Apply As NDA Begins Recruitment For 78 Regular Course

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially launched online registration for its 78th Regular Course (78RC), opening an opportunity for eligible young Nigerians to enrol as cadets.

The application will begin on Friday, November 28, 2025 and close on April 30, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Academy’s Registrar.

Key Entry Requirements:

According to the official, prospective applicants for the 78RC admission must satisfy the following criteria:

· Citizenship and personal status: Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, single, and without any legal dependents.

· Age: Applicants should be between 17 and 21 years old by the time of entry into the Academy.

· Education: O-Level Requirements – Applicants must possess at least five (5) ordinary level credit passes (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, NABTEB or GCE O-Level), including English Language and Mathematics, plus three other relevant subjects — obtained in not more than two sittings.

· UTME / JAMB requirement: Applicants must have sat for the latest UTME and selected NDA-Kaduna as their first-choice institution, achieving at least the minimum national standard as determined by the relevant authorities.

· Physical standards: Male candidates must be at least 1.68 metres, while females must be at least 1.65 metres tall. Additionally, all candidates must be medically and physically fit and of good moral character.

· Other documents: Applicants are expected to provide their Certificate of Indigeneship from their state or local government area.

Authorities cautioned that applications submitted without complete, valid O-Level results or from candidates awaiting results, saying such candidates will be disqualified.

Step-by-Step Process On How To Apply:

1. Visit the official application portal: www.ndaapplications.net.

2. Select “Purchase Access Code,” then generate your Order ID and a REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) code for the application fee of ₦7,000. Only payments via RRR codes generated on the portal are accepted.

3. Complete the registration form with accurate personal data, academic history, and required credentials. Upload necessary attachments, such as passport photo, O-Level certificate, indigeneship certificate, etc.

4. Submit the form before the closing date (April 30, 2026), print out the Acknowledgement Slip and any Admission or Screening Cards provided.

5. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to write a screening exam, followed by an Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) interview and fitness assessment.
