Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo is set to spend a month on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
“Olmo suffered a dislocation of his left shoulder during yesterday’s match against Atletico Madrid,” stated Barcelona in a press release.
“After conducting tests, a conservative treatment approach has been chosen. The estimated recovery time is approximately one month.”
The Spain international sustained the injury while scoring in the 3-1 La Liga victory over Atletico on Tuesday, a win that propelled Barcelona four points clear at the top of the table.
The 27-year-old has faced several injury issues since joining the Catalan giants in 2024 from RB Leipzig.
Olmo is now joined on the sidelines by Fermin Lopez, Gavi, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, as the team prepares for a crucial Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt next week.
