The former chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, has been released from detention by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) following his arrest on Friday.
Rimingado was reportedly wisked away to Abuja from Kano by officers from the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Squad, a development condemned by the Kano State government.
However, speaking on Saturday after his release, he said he would return on Monday to fulfill his bail conditions.
Rimingado revealed that his arrest followed two separate complaints. One, lodged by former Kano State governor and ex-APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The other complaint was filed by Bala Inuwa, former Managing Director of Kano State Agricultural Company (KASCO).
LEADERSHIP reports that both the Dala Inland Dry Port case involving Ganduje and the KASCO dispute were still before the courts of competent jurisdiction.
