Onoja Hails Tiv Chieftaincy Title For Ruling Party’s Chair

A former military administrator of Plateau and Katsina States, Major-General Lawrence Onoja (rtd), has congratulated the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on his conferment with a Tiv traditional chieftaincy title.

Recently, Yilwatda and his wife, Dr Martina Yilwatda, were honoured with the title of “Zegebar-U-Tiv” by the Tor Tiv, His Royal Majesty Prof. James Ayatse, and the Tiv Area Traditional Council.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja yesterday, Onoja, the deputy chairman of the APC Elders Advisory Council, described the honour as well-deserved, noting that it recognised Yilwatda’s contributions to national unity, community development and peaceful coexistence.

He said Yilwatda’s track record as a technocrat and political leader had continued to inspire younger Nigerians towards selfless service.

Onoja commended the Plateau State-born APC chairman for his humility, vision and commitment to strengthening party unity, as well as his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
