The Yobe State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Hon Abdullahi Bego, has commended the leadership of the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) for steady progress in strengthening healthcare financing and service delivery across the state.
Bego gave the commendation when the Executive Secretary of YSCHMA, Babagana, led the management team of the agency on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Information in Damaturu.
The commissioner noted that the agency has continued to record visible improvements under Babagana’s stewardship, particularly in expanding access to quality and affordable healthcare for residents.
He the reforms being implemented by YSCHMA have enhanced public confidence in the contributory healthcare scheme and positioned the agency as a key driver of health sector transformation in the state.
“You are doing great. The agency has demonstrated commitment, focus and consistency in advancing the objectives of the contributory healthcare scheme.
“This aligns perfectly with the vision of His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, to build a healthier and more productive Yobe State,” Bego said.
The Information Commissioner assured the agency of the ministry’s continued support in amplifying public awareness, sensitisation and strategic communication to deepen understanding of the scheme and encourage wider enrolment among residents.
In his response, the Executive Secretary of YSCHMA expressed appreciation for the words of encouragement and acknowledged the role of the Ministry of Information in projecting government policies and programmes to the public.
Babagana also used the occasion to congratulate the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Abdu Shu’aibu who has worked with him as director of finance.
