Vitafoam Donates Beds, Mattresses To College Of Nursing

Vitafoam Nigeria Plc has donated 40 double-bunk beds and 80 mattresses to the College of Nursing Sciences at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony on behalf of the Group managing director, Mr. Taiwo Adeniyi, the company’s commercial director, Alhaji Dahiru Gambo, said the gesture underscores Vitafoam’s commitment to supporting healthcare education and community welfare.

“This donation reflects our unwavering belief that healthy communities form the backbone of a thriving society. We are committed to contributing meaningfully to institutions that shape the future of healthcare, and we will continue to invest in initiatives that uplift lives across our communities,” said Gambo.

He noted that Vitafoam has consistently invested in health-related initiatives, including support for maternity homes, orphanages, general hospitals, and organisations serving people with disabilities.

 

The Chief Medical Director of LUTH, Prof. Wasiu Adeyemo, who received the items alongside other members of the management team, described the donation as a significant boost to students’ welfare.

He said the donation of bunk beds and mattresses by Vitafoam was impressive, as it supported the learning environment, urging other organisations to adopt similar CSR interventions.

 

Dr Olubukola Olawuyi, Provost of the College of Nursing Sciencess, expressed appreciation to Vitafoam, describing the company as a dependable partner in improving training conditions for future healthcare professionals.
