Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, has revealed that a total of N25.520 billion has been raised for the National Library project through the Oluremi @65 Education Fund.
In a press statement yesterday, Mrs. Tinubu expressed appreciation to Nigerians, family members, friends and well-wishers, who supported the fund, which was created to commemorate her 65th birthday on September 21, 2025.
She said the support affirmed a shared commitment to education, the preservation of knowledge and national development, adding that she was encouraged by the goodwill and unity the initiative inspired.
The first lady disclosed that the donation account for the Oluremi @65 Education Fund was closed yesterday.
She explained that the project is under the supervision of the minister of education, and that any further support should be channelled through the ministry.
The president’s wife thanked all contributors and wished Nigerians and their families a peaceful and prosperous 2026.
