The Kogi State Table Tennis Association has received a significant boost to its training resources thanks to a generous donation from local coach, Friday Abah. The esteemed coach, known for his dedication to nurturing young talent, presented the association with a valuable collection of equipment designed to enhance both practice and competitive play.
The donation, announced by the Coach yesterday, includes a comprehensive set of table tennis essentials. Among the items handed over were one pack of high-quality training balls, crucial for daily practice sessions and skill development.
In addition, Coach Abah provided two packs of match balls, ensuring that the association’s competitive events will be well-equipped with the necessary standard of equipment.
Further enhancing the association’s technical capabilities, Coach Abah also contributed one pair of fairly used Tenergy rubbers. Tenergy rubbers are highly regarded in the table tennis world for their advanced spin and speed characteristics, and even a used pair can provide significant benefits for developing players. Completing the thoughtful donation was one anti-spin rubber, a specialised piece of equipment that allows for a different style of defensive play, offering valuable tactical options for players.
The equipment is expected to be immediately integrated into the association’s training programmes, benefiting numerous aspiring athletes across the state.
