The Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), in collaboration with the Green Assembly Initiative, has congratulated renowned music executive Sydney Sparrow on his appointment as the acting national president of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja by the national leader and CEO of the organisation, Duke Alamboye, the groups described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Sydney Sparrow’s outstanding achievements, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the Nigerian music industry.

The statement highlighted Sparrow’s leadership credentials, particularly his impactful service as FCT Governor, noting that his experience reflects visionary and inclusive leadership.

The organisations expressed confidence that his emergence would usher in a new era of growth, unity, and increased relevance for P-Man within Nigeria’s creative sector.

NYO and the Green Assembly Initiative further urged the new Acting National President to collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Nigerian government, to position music as a vital tool for promoting national unity, peace, and stability.

They also commended Nigerian musicians for their consistent efforts in projecting the country positively on the global stage and called on them to support Sydney Sparrow’s leadership.

Reaffirming their commitment, the organisations pledged to mobilise youths across the country in support of P-Man under Sydney Sparrow’s leadership, with the aim of fostering unity and creating an enabling environment for Nigerian musicians to flourish.

The statement concluded with renewed congratulations to Sydney Sparrow and prayers for wisdom, strength, and success throughout his tenure as Acting National President of P-Man.
