Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria (RMB Nigeria) has been ranked No. 2 Employer in Nigeria for 2026, marking the second consecutive year the bank has received recognition for its excellence in people practices.

The ranking from the Top Employers Institute is in recognition of RMB Nigeria’s focus on fostering a workplace where employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to clients and the community. The Institute certifies organisations through its rigorous HR Best Practices Survey, which evaluates six domains: People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing. This certification demonstrates that RMB Nigeria meets world-class standards in HR excellence and workplace culture.

Commenting, Top Employers Institute Chief Executive, Adrian Seligman, said “achieving a Country Top Employer Certification for 2026 reflects RMB Nigeria’s dedication to building an outstanding workplace that enables sustained business performance. Their strong alignment between people strategy and organisational goals, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement, demonstrates the impact of their transformative practices. We are proud to recognise RMB Nigeria for their meaningful contribution to a better world of work in Nigeria.”

Speaking on the recognition, Chief Executive of RMB Nigeria, Bayo Ajayi, noted that the ranking reflects the Bank’s deliberate and sustained focus on fostering a workplace where people can truly thrive.

“At RMB Nigeria, our people are our greatest asset. This recognition reaffirms our unwavering commitment to building an inclusive, empowering, and purpose-driven environment where employees are supported to grow, excel, and deliver exceptional value to our clients and the communities we serve. It is a testament to our people-first philosophy and the culture of excellence we continue to nurture every day.”

Also commenting on the recognition, Head of Human Capital at RMB Nigeria, Ayotunde Jegede, highlighted that the Bank’s consistent ranking underscores its long-term commitment to excellence in people practices.
