Nigerian filmmaker, producer and film distributor, Ajifowoke Kazeem Dayo has been officially honoured by the City of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, with a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding contributions to film, storytelling, and cultural exchange.

The recognition, presented by the Office of the Mayor of Brampton, celebrates Dayo’s growing international influence in amplifying African stories and strengthening cross-cultural understanding through cinema. The award acknowledges his creative excellence and the global reach of his film productions, which have positioned African narratives on respected international platforms.

Ajifowoke Dayo is the founder and CEO of Face of Africa Media Concept, a production and distribution company established in 2014. The recognition ceremony also honoured other notable figures in the creative and civic space, including celebrated Nollywood actor Jim Iyke, media personality Dayo Israel, and representatives of WakaCanada. Being honoured alongside such respected personalities further underscores the importance of the event and the calibre of individuals recognised by the City of Brampton, highlighting the broader cultural significance of Dayo’s work within the global African creative community.
