Plateau Group Endorses Mutfwang, Bali For 2027

The All Progressive Congress (APC) youths in Langtang North local government area of  Plateau State have endorsed Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s  reelection bid  in 2027.

The group known as APC Youths Blisters, also endorsed Senator Napoleon Bali as their sole aspirant for Plateau South senatorial election in the state.

The endorsement came after passing a vote of confidence on the leadership of Governor Mutfwang and Bali.

According to a statement issued  by the Langtang North Coordinator APC Door-to-Door Mobilization Group Comrade Vongbut Nanngwa, “After our stakeholders’ meeting held on January 19, 2026, at the Tim-Tali Club in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, we have unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang for his inclusive  leadership qualities  in the state.

“We equally went further to endorse Senator AVM Napoleon Bali (rtd) for the Plateau South Senatorial seat”.

According to Comrade Nanngwa, “Many in the state will testify to the people-oriented, inclusive, and development-driven administrative style of Governor Mutfwang.”

He maintained that Governor Mutfwang administration has recorded visible progress in infrastructural renewal, community engagement, conflict management, and administrative reforms, despite prevailing economic and political challenges.

“Governor Mutfwang’s growing acceptability across party lines has positioned him as a unifying figure in Plateau politics. His landmark political decision to defect from PDP thereby returning Plateau to the ruling party is the surest pathway to electoral victory come 2027.”

Similarly,  the group also passed a vote of confidence on the distinguished Senator AVM Napoleon Bali (rtd) endorsing him as their preferred candidate for the Plateau South Senatorial election in 2027.

The group recalled Senator Bali’s brief but impactful tenure in the National Assembly, which they described as marked with accessibility, humility, and strong advocacy for the interests of Plateau South.

The motion for the endorsement of Governor Mutfwang and Senator Bali was moved by Mr Rimbam Venkur of Keller Ward and seconded by Mrs. Maryamu Pangtim of Pajat Ward, after which the decision was subjected to an open voice vote.

The resolutions was  unanimously adopted , with members affirming their support through a collective voice response .
