The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced the 12 clubs set to compete in the 2025 NVBF Super Cup for men and women, taking place in Abuja.
The tournament is scheduled from 30th January to 8th February at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Musa Nimrod, President of the federation, stated on Monday that the Super Cup, a flagship NVBF competition, aims to highlight elite volleyball talent across Nigeria.
Mr. Nimrod added that the competition also seeks to promote competitiveness, excellence, and the sustainable development of volleyball within the nation.
He explained that the invited teams were chosen based on their performances and standing in their respective divisions, promising a highly competitive tournament.
In the Premier Division (Men), the participating teams are Chief of Naval Staff Volleyball Club (CNS), Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club (NCS), and Nigeria Correctional Service Volleyball Club (NCoS).
The Premier Division (Women) will feature Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club (NCS), Chief of Naval Staff Volleyball Club (CNS), and Chief of Army Staff Volleyball Club (COAS).
In the Division I (Men), Defence Spikers Volleyball Club, Ajase Ipo Volleyball Club, and Life Camp Volleyball Club will be battling it out for promotion. Vipers Volleyball Club, Abuja, Federal Fire Service Volleyball Club, and Excelsior Volleyball Club, Abia State will square up in Division I (Women):.
Mr. Nimrod assured all stakeholders, including clubs, athletes, officials, and fans, of a well-organised competition that will meet international standards and significantly contribute to the sport’s growth in Nigeria.
