Barely one month after the suspension of Birnin Kebbi local government chairman and ALGON chairman, Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa by the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Kebbi State, the party has again suspended another member, Kabiru Labbo Jega, for allegedly causing violence in Jega town.
The suspension was contained in a letter dated January 26 and signed by the zonal vice chairman Kebbi Central of the party, Abubakar Bello Matawalle Bunza.
In the letter, he noted that Jega who is currently the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Community and Rural Development, was reported to the party to have caused violence and confusion within the APC in his constituency, Jega.
The allegations according to the letter included the disruption of peace among party members through the instigation of violence on fellow members of the party.
It added that following the review of these allegations, the party’s executive committee resolved that he poses a threat to internal peace, unity and order in the party.
“Accordingly, you are hereby suspended from membership and all activities of APC with immediate effect,” the letter reads.
“The party however warned you against further activities during the pendency period of your suspension else, you may attract more disciplinary action up to expulsion from the party, ” the letter concluded.
