Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has sacked the State’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, with immediate effect.

The state government did not give specific reasons for the decision, describing it instead as a minor adjustment in the composition of the State Executive Council (SEC).

The development was disclosed in a press release issued on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, saying; “Governor of Bauchi State has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet.”

“In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect,” the statement added.

Gidado said the adjustment was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance in the state.

Gidado explained that the decision underscored the administration’s resolve to periodically review its cabinet in order to inject fresh ideas, reposition governance machinery for improved service delivery, and ensure effective implementation of government policies and programmes across Bauchi State.

Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation to Alhaji Galadima for his services to the state and wished him success in his future endeavours.

The governor also reassured the people of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security, and good governance.

“A replacement will be announced in due course,” the statement further said.
