The draw for the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup took place on Tuesday, unveiling an exciting line-up of matches that promises to captivate football fans across the continent.

The event, held in the heart of Cairo, brought together representatives from the participating clubs, who are now gearing up for intense competition.

In the first quarter-final, Egyptian side Al Masry will face Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, setting the stage for a thrilling encounter between two teams with strong ambitions to progress further in the tournament.

The second match pits Moroccan rivals Olympique Safi against Wydad AC, ensuring a heated derby that will showcase the talent and passion of Moroccan football.

The third quarter-final will see AS Otoho d’Oyo from the Republic of Congo take on Egypt’s Zamalek SC, a match expected to draw significant attention given Zamalek’s storied history in African competitions.

Rounding off the quarter-finals is a clash between AS Maniema Union from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Algeria’s USM Alger. This match-up promises to be a closely contested affair, with both teams looking to make their mark in the tournament.

The draw for the semi-finals was also conducted, with the winners of QF4 (AS Maniema Union or USM Alger) set to face the winners of QF2 (Olympique Safi or Wydad AC), while the victors of QF1 (Al Masry or CR Belouizdad) will take on the winners of QF3 (AS Otoho d’Oyo or Zamalek SC).
