Victor Osimhen has issued a clarion call to his Galatasaray teammates, emphasising the need for their utmost performance as they approach the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff against Juventus.

The Turkish Super Lig champions secured a commanding 5-2 victory over Juventus in the first leg at RAMs Park on Tuesday, yet Osimhen remains cautious ahead of the return fixture in Turin next Wednesday.

“It’s clear that 5-2 is not a safe scoreline against a team of Juventus’ calibre,” Osimhen remarked, as reported by Forza Cimbom. “We all recognise their pedigree; they are one of the finest teams globally and possess the ability to spring surprises.”

Osimhen underscored the importance of scoring more goals to ensure a balanced contest, especially with the second leg looming. “To weaken their resolve, we must aim for more goals. It’s crucial for us to maintain our focus and intensity, particularly in Turin next week.”

Reflecting on their recent performance, Osimhen expressed his satisfaction, stating, “This was one of our finest displays in the Champions League. We deserved the win, but we must also respect Juventus, a truly formidable side. We need to show up in Turin.”
