David Osagie, an 18-year-old Nigerian forward playing for Union Woerie Henndorf in Austria’s third tier, has expressed his desire to represent Nigeria’s U20 national team, the Flying Eagles.
Osagie’s intermediary, Chijioke Anderson, confirmed the Edo-born player’s interest, stating, “Osagie is keen to play for his fatherland, Nigeria. He’s a good player, full of energy and always ready for improvement.”
The U20 National Team has not yet commenced camping for the 2027 U20 AFCON qualifiers, pending the NFF’s decision on retaining or replacing former coach, Aliyu Zubairu.
