Fulham will be without the services of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze for their crucial away match against Sunderland on Sunday. The Nigeria international is currently nursing a calf injury, sustained during Fulham’s recent 3-0 league defeat to reigning champions Manchester City.

The 26-year-old is, however, expected to make a swift recovery and be fit for the Whites’ subsequent league encounter – a highly anticipated London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. Since joining Fulham on loan from AC Milan last summer, Chukwueze has impressed, contributing three goals and four assists in his 13 league appearances. Marco Silva’s side, who are actively pushing for a European qualification spot, currently occupy 12th position in the Premier League table with 35 points from 26 games.
