Toptier Sports Management and the Nigeria National League (NNL) have held a strategic kick-off session ahead of the second half of the 2025/2026 season. The meeting reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening the league’s structure, visibility, and commercial value.

Toptier Sports Management, investors in both the NNL and the Nigerian Women Football League, has been working closely with league management to establish governance frameworks. These frameworks are designed to ensure long-term sustainability and operational excellence, focusing on building foundational systems to enhance transparency, professionalism, and competitive integrity across the league.

As part of its expanded investment, Toptier Sports Management has initiated strategic interventions in key areas including indemnities, digitisation, broadcast production, and branding. These initiatives aim to modernise league operations, improve club compliance standards, and elevate the overall match-day and fan experience.

Discussions during the strategy session also covered plans for the upcoming NNL Super 4 tournament. Toptier Sports Management and NNL officials are currently finalising the date and venue, with a formal announcement expected in the coming weeks.

In a significant boost to the league’s media presence, Team 33 Production has commenced live coverage of selected matches at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Lagos. Fixtures already broadcast include First Bank Lagos versus Abakaliki FC on 20th February 2026; Inter Lagos versus Crown FC, Ogbomoso on 21st February 2026; and Sporting Lagos versus Godswill Akpabio FC, Uyo on 23rd February 2026.

The renewed collaboration between Toptier Sports Management and the NNL signifies a bold step towards repositioning Nigeria’s second-tier league as a professionally run and commercially attractive competition, capable of nurturing talent and driving football development nationwide.
