The Abuja chapter of Tiv Youth Organisation (TYO) has congratulated the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Ridwan Disu, on his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement signed by its president, Chief Undu Saater Joseph and secretary, Comrade Akaa Victor Terver, the group described Disu’s appointment as well-deserved, citing his decades of service in the Nigeria Police Force.

TYO noted that Disu rose through the ranks through hard work, professionalism and dedication to duty.

The organisation highlighted his vast operational, investigative, intelligence and administrative experience, including his service as Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

The Tiv youth body expressed confidence that his leadership would strengthen internal security, enhance community policing and consolidate ongoing reforms within the police force.

It pledged the support and cooperation of Tiv youths resident in the Federal Capital Territory, expressing optimism that the force would advance professionalism, accountability and service delivery under his watch.

The group wished the Acting IGP wisdom, strength and guidance as he assumes office at a time it described as critical in Nigeria’s security landscape.
