The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has donated Ramadan packages to Muslim faithful in the Nigeria Police Force.

Presenting the packages, which included rice, beans, garri to the officers at the force headquarters mosque in Abuja yesterday, the national chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Ibraheem Mogaji Olaniyan, said it was an act to encourage the officers during the Ramadan period.

Acting inspector-general of police, IGP Olatunji Disu, appreciated the gesture and noted that the welfare of the officers and men was paramount to him.

The IGP also noted that the PCRC had been part of the Nigeria Police Force and had contributed immensely to the work of the police.

Chief Imam of the Force Headquarters Mosque, Alhassan Yakub said the packages would be distributed to the officers accordingly.
