The Director-General of the National Productivity Center and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has commended Governor Abba Yusuf for what he described as a rare display of fairness and inclusive leadership following his entry into the ruling party.
Dan’agundi, who addressed journalists in Kano, said the governor’s decision to join the APC had reinforced unity and strengthened internal cohesion within the party across the state.
He described Yusuf’s move as a significant political development that has inspired confidence among party members, stressing that the governor demonstrated statesmanship by embracing both longstanding and new members without discrimination.
According to him, in several instances where the governor was reportedly entitled to about 60 per cent of party leadership positions, he willingly allowed original APC members to present the majority of candidates in order to promote fairness and collective progress.
“This clearly shows that we are now one united family working toward a common goal,” he stated.
The APC chieftain called on party members to consolidate on the prevailing unity, urging loyalists of former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to demonstrate discipline and loyalty by supporting Governor Yusuf as the recognised leader of the APC in the State.
He emphasised the need for members to operate under a unified command structure to ensure stability and electoral success.
Speaking on behalf of Tinubu Support Groups in Kano, Dan’agundi pledged intensified grassroots mobilisation ahead of forthcoming elections, assuring that members would work assiduously to secure victory for the governor and other APC candidates.
He also commended party leaders in Kano Municipal for fostering cooperation and urged other local governments to emulate their example to further strengthen party cohesion across the state.
