The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union( IEDPU) has called for proper profiling and registration of all tricycle and motorcycle operators by relevant government and security agencies.
The union expressed concerns about the increasing influx of diverse groups of individuals into Ilorin metropolis and its suburbs.

The union in a statement signed by its national publicity secretary, Mal. Suleiman Dagbo, also called for the strengthening of collaboration between transport unions and security agencies across Ilorin Emirate.
It called for strict enforcement of 9:00pm operational limit for Okada and tricycle operators as a preventive security measures, saying that there was a growing allegation that some unscrupulous tricycle operators connive with criminals, particularly at night.
While calling for community sensitisation and improved intelligence sharing, the union enjoined security agencies to enhance surveillance and monitoring of identified flashpoints and abandoned structures with a view to nipping criminality in the bud.
