Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has responded to criticism following a viral video showing her conducting a deliverance session on a student during a school visit.
The video, which circulated widely on social media, sparked mixed reactions from the public, with some praising the prayer session and others questioning the circumstances surrounding it.
Among those who reacted was comedian I Go Save, who raised concerns about the situation in which the prayer was conducted.
Responding in a statement shared on her Instagram page, Dikeh said she would rather endure mockery than stop speaking openly about her faith.
According to the actress, the assignment she believes God has given her is too important for her to be distracted by criticism or public opinion.
“I would rather be mocked or ridiculed than silence the name of the One who saved me,” she wrote, adding that she would not hide her faith to protect her public image.
Dikeh also described the backlash as part of a spiritual battle, insisting that the opposition she faces goes beyond human criticism.
She maintained that prayer remains her response to such situations, noting that true strength and victory are found through faith.
