The organisers of the “One Benue Easter Fiesta: have said the event will promote unity and celebrate Benue State’s cultural heritage.
The three-day fiesta is scheduled to hold from April 4 to April 6, 2026, at the JS Tarka Foundation, opposite Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Square in Makurdi, the state capital.
Ahead of the event, the spokesperson for the organisers, Mr Terver Aondoakaa, said the initiative seeks to bring together people from across the state while providing a platform for local entertainers and creative talents to showcase their abilities during the Easter celebration.
“This Easter, we invite every son and daughter of Benue and friends from near and far to join us in Makurdi,” Aondoakaa said.
He described the fiesta as a platform to strengthen unity and cultural pride among the people of the state.
“One Benue Easter Fiesta is more than an event; it is a movement that reinforces our shared identity, showcases our talents and builds stronger bonds across communities,” he said.
The organisers said the event would feature musical performances, comedy shows, cultural displays, and creative exhibitions to highlight the diversity and economic potential of Benue State.
The fiesta is convened by Mr Lawrence Kyuka and organised by the One Benue Group under the coordination of Mr Romeo Nyamatsa.
They added that the event reflects the message of unity among the people of the state and encourages the residents and visitors to celebrate their shared identity during the Easter season.
