Chief executive officer of Jaycee Signature, Jessica Nwobodo, has delivered an impressive showcase at the recently concluded AfriCulture Fashion Show and Award in Abuja.
The event, organised by the Global Awareness for Development Initiatives, also featured the Excellence in Mentorship and Leadership Award for the Boy Child, drawing participants and stakeholders from the fashion industry, entertainment sector and civil society.
Nwobodo was among a select group of fashion entrepreneurs granted exhibition space to display their collections during the event. Her brand’s distinctive designs captured the attention of fashion enthusiasts, resulting in significant patronage and strong sales from guests who admired the creativity and craftsmanship of the outfits on display.
Several notable personalities attended the event to support the designer, including the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abubakar Yakubu, as well as Nollywood veterans Hanks Anuku and Jerry Amilo, among other entertainers who endorsed and patronised the brand.
Beyond the glamour of the runway, the AfriCulture event distinguished itself as more than a conventional fashion showcase. It served as a platform for cultural dialogue and social advocacy under the theme, “Empowering the African Boy Child Towards a Balanced Future.”
The gathering brought together leading figures from the worlds of fashion, politics and humanitarian advocacy, creating an atmosphere that blended creativity with meaningful discussions on societal development.
