Mikel Arteta will be without two key players when Arsenal F.C. host Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie.
The crucial encounter will take place on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal head into the match following a 1–1 draw in the first leg played in Germany last week.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Monday, Arteta confirmed that defenders Jurrien Timber and captain Martin Ødegaard will miss the game through injury.
“Jurrien Timber and Martin Ødegaard will be out tomorrow against Bayer Leverkusen,” Arteta said.
The Gunners approach the European clash in a confident mood after defeating Everton F.C. in the Premier League over the weekend.
