D’Tigress standout Victoria Macaulay has been named to the All-Star Team of the 2025 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament, recognising her exceptional contributions to the Nigerian squad.
Macaulay delivered a series of impressive performances during the tournament held in France, helping her team secure two victories amidst three defeats across five matches. Despite the mixed results, her steady presence in the frontcourt proved crucial for the team.
FIBA highlighted her impact on their official website, stating, “Nigeria had an up-and-down tournament, but one of their most consistent elements was the performances of their experienced frontcourt ace. Macaulay utilised her skill and strength in the paint, finishing as a leader for the African champions in both efficiency and scoring.”
France led the All-Star Team selections with two representatives, including MVP Janelle Salaun and Marine Johannes. Additionally, Germany’s Frieda Bühner and Korea’s Leesuel Kang were also honoured with spots on the prestigious team.
