Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has in the spirit of Sallah, distributed relief materials to over 7,000 women across Sokoto State aimed at strengthening social welfare and supporting vulnerable households.

The minister in a statement by his special assistant on media, Abdullahi Mohammed, said the intervention, carried out from Monday, 17th to Thursday, 19th March 2026, involved the distribution of essential food items such as rice, pasta, and cooking oil—to beneficiaries in various communities including Sabon Garin Dole, Boyekai, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps.

He said the initiative formed part of his efforts to cushion the economic challenges faced by citizens, particularly women and low-income families, while enabling them to celebrate the Sallah season with dignity.
