The National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Tanimu Turaki-led PDP of plotting to stop the March 29 Abuja national convention through a court in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The caretaker committee, backed by the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, said the Turaki camp backed by the PDP governors are planning to secure an injunction to halt the forthcoming tethering which will produce new leadership for the party.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday in Abuja, the spokesman of the caretaker committee, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, however said the convention will be held as planned.
He called on the Honourable Chief Judge of The Federal High Court and The State Chief Judge to take judicial notice of “these attempts to abuse court processes and to frustrate the legitimate activities of our party.”
