“I Choose To Be An Entertainer” — Falz Reacts To Pressure Over Marriage

Renowned Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has responded to fresh pressure from fans about his marital status, maintaining a calm yet firm stance on his personal life.

The 35-year-old artiste recently shared an unsolicited message from a fan on his Instagram story, urging him to “settle down” like his contemporaries in the entertainment industry. In a follow-up video, the rapper addressed the recurring obsession with his private life with characteristic humour.

“It is not your fault. I am the one who chose to be an entertainer, that means my life is your entertainment,” Falz remarked, acknowledging the deep investment Nigerians often have in the domestic affairs of public figures.

The rapper further quipped about the possibility of a “matrimonial experiment” just to satisfy public curiosity, though he stopped short of making any actual commitments.

The conversation around Falz’s marital status is not new. In August 2025, the rapper sparked a social media frenzy after sharing photos of himself in traditional wedding attire, which he later clarified were part of a creative photoshoot for a music project.

Despite the constant speculation, Falz has remained transparent about his singlehood. In 2024, he disclosed that he had not been in a serious relationship since 2008, jokingly adding that he was still single because he had yet to find someone who truly liked him.
