Agbeyewa Farms Limited, the agribusiness arm of Cavista Holdings, has announced plans to convene key agricultural stakeholders to strengthen collaboration between traditional institutions and modern enterprises to drive food security, community development, and inclusive economic growth across Nigeria’s cassava value chain.

The company disclosed this ahead of its third annual Ekiti Traditional Rulers’ Retreat scheduled for April 15, 2026.

Agbeyewa Farms said it remains at the forefront of transforming Nigeria’s cassava value chain, with operations spanning cultivation, aggregation, processing, and agro-trading, while creating sustainable livelihoods and empowering rural communities at scale.

This vision is further reinforced by its role as the agricultural supply backbone of the emerging Matna Cassava Industrial Platform (MCIP), a key pillar of Cavista Holdings’ food and agriculture strategy.

According to the company, this year’s retreat will bring together royal fathers, government officials, and major stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem.

The governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, is expected to declare the event open, alongside other top government functionaries and industry leaders.

Also expected at the event is the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who will serve as Royal Father of the Day.

The chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Adejimi Samuel Adu, will lead participating monarchs from across the state.

The retreat will feature a keynote address by the vice chancellor of Venite University, Ekiti, Prof. Charity Aremu, on the theme, “Driving Economic Transformation Through Sustainable Agricultural Development.”

Agbeyewa Farms noted that beyond being a mere gathering, the retreat represents a strategic alignment between tradition and enterprise, reinforcing its vision to build a globally competitive cassava ecosystem rooted in cultural heritage, partnerships, and sustainable prosperity.

Central to this ambition is the Matna Cassava Industrial Platform (MCIP), an integrated framework designed to accelerate Nigeria’s cassava industrialisation through three key pillars: security of supply through large-scale cultivation and community-based partnerships; processing scalability driven by industrial capabilities; and market expansion supported by global partnerships.

The company stated that the integrated platform positions Nigeria to emerge as a global leader in cassava-based food and industrial ingredient production, while delivering inclusive economic growth across rural communities.

The programme will also feature a strategic session on Cavista Holdings’ Food and Agriculture Industrialisation Platform, highlighting how the integration of agricultural supply, industrial processing, and global market access is shaping the next phase of cassava transformation in Nigeria.
