Popular Yoruba actress, Wumi Toriola, has lambasted those who have been provoking her when she has done nothing wrong.

She took to social media to announce that her “mumu button” has been activated.

“People now look for my trouble unprovoked. Mumu button activated. God na your hand I dey. Make we sha no meet for lone road. Till then, I don mumu. Make we Burna am. Till then, peace”.
She posted.

The ‘Queen Lateefah’ actress told fans not to expect so much from her, stating that she had tried.
The popular actress, late last year, was admitted to the hospital following online criticism after an altercation with actor and director Afeez Owo.

The film director asked questions in an interview about Wumi’s character, to which Afeez responded that Wumi only reacts when provoked, is intolerant of nonsense, and is generally calm.

The seemingly simple incident escalated when Wumi responded negatively to what he said, asking if she should “rent a husband to hold the mic and spoil things.”

She went on to accuse Afeez of engaging in “unnecessary drama” despite his advanced age, but admitted she still respected him.

Her reaction earned her strong backlash and disapproval from online users. The pressure ultimately landed her in the hospital.

Following recovery from her breakdown, she shared an Instagram video from inside a plane, saying she was “a repentant child” and appreciated her critics for telling her off, adding a caption in Yoruba that translates to ‘we only correct the child we love’.
