Transcorp Hilton Abuja has dismissed social media claims that it cancelled a booking for a political rally, describing the reports as “false and misleading.”
In an official statement issued on Thursday, acting general manager Mohamed Said Khalil, clarified that an inquiry for space was received on Easter Monday, but no booking was made due to lack of availability.
“There was no cancellation, contrary to what is being purported,” the statement read.
The hotel urged the public to disregard the “inaccurate, malicious, and entirely fabricated” narrative circulating online.
Neither the hotel nor the statement identified the political group behind the inquiry, and no independent confirmation of the original social media claims was available at the time of publication.
The controversy emerged from online posts alleging the hotel had backed out of an agreement to host the event.
