In a distressing turn of events, armed robbers have invaded the home of popular gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu, just days after the burial of his twin brother and music partner, Taiwo Adegbodu.
The robbery, which occurred Tuesday night around 9 p.m., targeted the family residence while Kehinde was away in Osun State. The singer revealed in a viral video that the gunmen terrified the household, including his wife, his late brother’s widow, and their children.
Valuables, including gold, phones, shoes, and clothing, were carted away. However, Kehinde expressed deeper fears that the robbers were specifically looking for funds donated by the burial committee for his late brother’s funeral. He recounted how one of the intruders was overheard on a call stating that Kehinde was not home and that no money could be found.
“I have used the money donated for Taiwo’s burial and to finish the uncompleted building where he was laid to rest,” Kehinde clarified, pleading with his attackers to leave his family in peace. “Please, I don’t have any money with me again. My family is no longer safe, and I don’t want our name to keep making headlines for bad news.”
Taiwo Adegbodu passed away from a heart attack on March 1, 2026, and was buried on March 31. This latest security breach has added fresh trauma to a family already mourning a significant loss.
