President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acknowledged the hardship caused by rising fuel prices in Nigeria but urged citizens to remain hopeful, noting that the situation is comparatively better than in some other African countries.

The president made the remarks on Friday during a presidential visit to Bayelsa State, where he will also commission key projects.

“It is very important that we are transparent honest with our people, yes I hear you, from various angles of the economy, the fuel prices is biting hard, but look around let’s thank God together that you are better off. Listen to them in Kenya and other countries and hear what they are going through. We will not look back, we will continue to find ways to ameliorate the suffering of the vulnerables,” Tinubu said.
